RiverFlow2D

The most advanced two-dimensional combined hydraulic and hydrologic flexible-mesh model.

RiverFlow2D is Hydronia's flagship 2D hydraulic and hydrologic solver, integrated with QGIS through the RiverFlow2D plugin. Use it for flood modeling, river hydraulics, stormwater systems, sediment and pollutant transport, and dam-break analysis.

Plugin reference

Chapters follow the order of the QGIS plugin toolbar.

  1. New Project / Scenario Tool - create projects and scenarios, configure initial layers.
  2. Generate Trimesh - build the triangular computational mesh, with or without elevations from a raster or TIN DEM.
  3. Export Tools - assemble the solver input dataset from the QGIS layers.
  4. Results vs Time Maps - render time-series, maximum, hazard, concentration and economic maps.
  5. Animation Tool - animate results and export images, videos, and KMZ files.
  6. Cross Sections Tool - extract cross-section, hydrograph, and tabular results.
  7. Tools - EPA-SWMM integration, TriMesh utilities, mesh quality checks, and project migration.
